CNBC's Erin Burnett calls President Bush a monkey on MSNBC's Morning Joe program.
And then the (pitiful) apology...
What a wuss. She has the utmost respect for the president? Bull. Come on, Erin, no one believes that. If you're going to apologize, fine, but why not apologize in a manner that doesn't leave you looking like a gutless hypocrite? Couldn't you have said, "I said something about our president the other night that upset a lot of people, and I apologize. I should have kept that particular sentiment to myself"? Instead, after calling him a monkey you then went the "I have the utmost respect for the president" fake-ass apology route.
