Speaking of cliches, have you heard the expression, "Hitch your wagon to a star"? Years ago, she apparently decided this wealthy idiot had a future that might involve her. What their real relationship is remains to be analyzed by history, but I think it's strange, and for her, ultimately humiliating. Whatever satisfaction she receives from the power she gets must be diminished by lost self-respect. Unless, it's love?
I think she's lost it. Maybe once she'd been a great mind, a great potential, but anyone who can so vigorously defend Bush's policies in the Mideast is seriously flawed. Hell, she's an expert in Russian and the former Soviet Union. What must she think of America's deteriorating relationship with Russia since Bush took office?
