Norman Bates calls a Redneck
Back in college with some of my friends we cranked called businesses a couple times, but we weren't very good at it at all. Most of the time we couldn't think of anything to say, so the calls would go something like "Uh... do you sell toilet seats? Because ... uh... that would be pretty funny if you did. Hehe... Yeah... You sell toilet seats. That's pretty funny."
And I remember always getting someone really sharp on the line who'd see right through the prank in mere seconds. "Don't you kids have some studying to do?" they'd say.
Once, I replied, "Uh... yes, sir. Actually we do."
Needless to say, after a couple failed attempts, we left crank calling to the professionals, people like Bart Simpson and the Jerky Boys.
