What the hell kind of site is this?

For starters, it's crap. This site is total crap, so don't expect much because I'm an idiot. This site is my sketch book, my side project and my feeble attempt to connect with other talentless idiots.

Here, I post my pitiful political cartoons, funny videos made by people far more talented than I am, weird news stories, boring rants about Democrats and the Republican Party, weak observations about freedom of religion and other concepts I only barely understand, and lots of other crap. I guess the key point to take away from this is that most of what you'll find here is total crap.

NSA spy program is under review, sort of

Smells like a whitewash to me. The Justice Department is limiting the scope to how its personnel contributed, not to the actual legality of the program. That's what the hooplah has been over. Did the president break the law or didn't he? That's a more important question than whether or not some assistant federal attorney filed the proper paperwork.

However, Democrats criticized the review as not going far enough to determine whether the program violates federal law.

The inquiry by Inspector General Glenn A. Fine will focus on the role of department prosecutors and agents in carrying out the warrantless surveillance program run by the National Security Agency.

Fine's investigation is not expected to address whether the controversial program is an unconstitutional expansion of presidential power, as its critics and a federal judge in Detroit have charged.

"After conducting initial inquiries into the program, we have decided to open a program review that will examine the department's controls and use of information related to the program," Fine wrote in a letter dated Monday to House and Senate leaders on Judiciary, Intelligence and Appropriations committees.
