I love these new cartoons with the new style. I also love the skewering of Harry Reid. He is probably the most useless Senate president a majority has ever had. Even Pelosi is more effective in Congress.

Sage is right--this cartoon is fine. And you're right about Harry Reid. I think your opinions and jokes are usually right on the money. I also think that you, me, and Sage get it, but it still costs four bucks for a cup of coffee. None of us is getting rich for being right. I doubt that we ever will, but the truth still matters, so we keep trying to live it and tell it when asked. I know something about failing to live up to one's hopes and ambitions, but I haven't quite given up yet. These are ugly times which will probably get worse thanks to the stupidity and incompetence of our political leadership and the equal foolishness of the people who put them in power. That's the dark side of our democracy. It's still possible, however, to change things for the better. It's often hard, painful work, but we have to try. I believe--sometimes reluctantly--that's it's eventually worth the effort.
